METABOLIC BALANCE TESTIMONIAL
For as long as I can remember food has been an ‘idol’ to me. The sin of gluttony is one that I am all too familiar with. And over the years, to rid myself of the extra pounds that came along with this devotion to food, I have tried and failed at more than one diet. Weight Watchers helped for awhile, as did Jenny Craig, but I always felt deprived and hungry while I was on those programs.
During the first year of covid, like many people, I hunkered down and ate and consumed alcohol – more than usual. And this time I saw the scale rise to a level that began to scare me. For the first time in my life (I am 56) I wanted to lose weight because I was worried about my health – not JUST because of vanity.
Enter Lori and Metabolic Balance (MB). I have a couple of friends who started talking about MB while we were having coffee one day, and I immediately became interested. I knew Lori to be a person of integrity and I knew of her own health struggles and so when I found out she was promoting a new weight loss/get healthy plan, it did not take much convincing to sign me up. I was ready! I liked the idea that the diet was based on my own blood work.
I am three months into the plan, and I am honest when I say MB is the best thing I have ever done for my health. For the first time in my life, I am eating as healthy as I can and when I stick to the rules, I have NO CRAVINGS and I DO NOT FEEL DEPRIVED. I will testify, that it feels like a miracle in my life. This is not to say it wasn’t a challenge. But each challenge was doable! Two-day detox: I can do that! Two weeks on a highly restricted diet? I can do two weeks! And after that, it became routine. My body is thanking me. Before I had even lost a lot of weight my husband said: ‘Your skin looks so good.’ And I have also noticed my eyelashes have grown in length.
At the end of the day, I have lost weight, so I feel better, but I also feel healthy and in these days of covid, that is just as important.
